Gül Group of Companies took its first step into the lubricants sector in 1978 by establishing Nil Petrol in Kadıköy, Istanbul. Shortly after its establishment, Nil Petrol was turned into a joint stock company in 1984 with its rapid growth and titled Nil Petrol San. ve Tic. A.Ş. Nil Petrol has signed commercial collaborations with many international petroleum companies in Türkiye and neighboring geographies for many years and has played an active role in the development of lubricant trade in our country. During 80's and 90's, it registered its outstanding commercial achievements by receiving numerous awards from public authorities and international brands.
The company aimed to gain a strong position in the sector by reflecting its long years of know-how to brand development eorts. Feasibility and R&D processes were carried out with great care. Thus, the “Lubrico” brand took its place in the sector in 2008. Today, Lubrico owes its success to the careful execution of the branding process from the very beginning. The professional management team values continuity, innovation and quality, and investments have been increased to build the brand on strong foundations. As of 2015, Lubrico Petrokimya A.Ş. was established for production activities and our first factory investment was made in Gebze Organized Industrial Zone. After a short period of time, the investment of our second factory was made in the same region in 2019
Aiming to make a dierence in the sector with its innovative business style, Lubrico has made significant investments in this direction. Lubrico's new generation facilities, defined as “Smart Plant” equipped with smart technologies, are built on a total closed area of 12,000 m2. Our plant has a production capacity of 40,000 tons in single shift production. LubRobo, consisting of the digital platform and SCADA software developed within Lubrico, is at the center of industry 4.0 digital transformation processes. With the integration of LubRobo, standardization in production has been ensured and the targeted sustainable quality has been successfully achieved with eicient and eco-friendly production processes. In compliance with Industry 4.0 norms, secure and continuous monitoring has been ensured with the communication of devices and units over the internet. Big data flowing through a dynamic, dense sensor network has enabled advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis and planning processes, and has even led to the emergence of AI-based solutions as a necessity. With the big data and data analytics applications obtained by LubRobo, it has been possible for optimum production planning, improvement of production processes, planning of maintenance and repair processes and implementation of preventive maintenance processes, and this transformation has made significant contributions to quality and eiciency. As a result of sharing LubRobo's data-driven plan proposals and process solutions quickly and accurately with the relevant units and individuals, significant eiciency increases have been achieved in supply and production planning. While reaching our Industry 4.0 targets, an important contribution was also achieved with the WMS (Warehouse Management System), which provides error-free and fast data flow in Lubrico storage and shipment processes. With the comprehensive software and hardware infrastructure implemented in this structure, all products can be followed with QR codes at every stage and the production process has become instantly monitored. LubRobo, which is in online communication with the production and stock information instantly transmitted from WMS to LubRobo, as well as with the purchasing and sales units, evaluates all the big information and decides on production and supply processes quickly and accurately. It monitors and controls the processes being put into practice.
Lubrico develops its new generation products and technologies at the independent Lubtec (Lubricants Technology Center) quality and R&D center. This center has TS EN ISO/EC 17025 accreditation. Lubtec is a technology center specialized in fluid engineering. Lubtec carries out research and development of new generation lubricants and coolants and performs, certifies and monitors the quality control of Lubrico products. Lubtec cooperates with universities in line with R&D activities. In this regard, it is aimed to produce imported products in Türkiye, localize them and reduce dependence on imports. Lubtec also oers third party analysis services to petrochemical companies. Lubrico and Lubtec give importance to university and research collaborations in their R&D processes and, with this approach, receive test and analysis services from Boğaziçi University R&D Center and Tübitak, and cooperate with Boğaziçi R&D Ltd. company located in Büdotek Teknopark Dudullu OSB, Boğaziçi University Technology Development Zone, and carry out joint studies in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and robotic solutions. Lubrico Academy, which is located within our facility, carries out educational activities for our own human resources and for the new generation who will be our future in the petrochemical industry and who will take part in the intermediate workforce in the future.
With nearly 50 years of experience in the industry, Lubrico brings its business partners and end consumers together with quality and reliable products with more than 1,200 SKUs in main product groups and segments in international markets, including hybrid and conventional passenger vehicles, heavy duty vehicles, motorcycles, leisure boats, agricultural machineries, hydraulic systems, gear and transmissions, industrials, antifreeze and coolants, brake fluids, automotive and industrial greases and marines. Lubrico ensures and maintains its quality with its 9001, 14001, 45001, 16949, 27001, EELQMS and TSE ISO/IEC 17025 management systems. Besides, thanks to its collaborations with engine and machine manufacturers, it oers its customers quality products developed in parallel with the developing engine and machine technology with O.E.M manufacturer approvals such as Mercedes Benz, Daimler, Volvo, Man, Renault Truck.
As of 2026, Lubrico exports to more than 60 countries in 5 continents including Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America. Export sales channels are divided into two groups: distributorship and dealership. Furthermore, private-label productions are carried out for local and global companies with their own brands. Lubrico performs its sales in Türkiye through B2B and B2C channels such as distributors, dealers, authorized sales points in 81 provinces. In addition, Lubrico oers services to its business partners with its expert team in public institutions, automotive and industry direct sales and private-label departments. With the marine group commissioned as of 2026, it has started to provide services to domestic and foreign flagged commercial ship fleets. With its young and dynamic sta and organic growth approach, Lubrico increases its market share in domestic and international markets day by day and oers the best alternative solutions with the highest quality to our customers.
As of 2026, Lubrico, which continues its investments without slowing down, will start building its third factory in a very strategic location, Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone. The investment, which is scheduled to start in the first half of the year, is planned to be taken into operation within 24 months. There will be a Class A warehouse within the facility, and at the same time, the production of special chemicals developed within the scope of R&D studies will be conducted in this facility.
In 2028, the Lubrico Family is going to celebrate its 50th anniversary in the industry. On the way to its 50th anniversary, main objective of Lubrico is to bring its products to end consumers in more than 100 countries with the technologies and business models it has developed, and to gain the trust and appreciation of consumers all over the world with its customer-oriented, nature and eco-sensitive products and services.
